Computer abuse is the improper use of a computer to take or adjust data, phishing, and sabotage. In other words, when an individual has access to use a computer to do something illegal.
Computers Today
Computers play an intrinsic role in today’s society because of the different ways an individual could use it. For example, surfing the website, listening to music, reading all types of news, writing documents, playing online games or making extensive research. While computers provide a countless amount of benefits to individuals, there are a few negative benefits to that, which is using the device for wrong purposes.
Computer Fraud and Abuse Act (CFAA)
In the United States, there is a law enforced called Computer Fraud and Abuse Act (CFAA) which basically goes against the action of computer abuse. By definition, CFAA reduces the actions of an individual's hacking method into the government or other sensitive institutional computer systems. In other words, this law makes it illegal to access a computer without any consent or authorization. Individuals of all ages who perform computer abuse have the access to hack into a computer, cause viruses, and imposter.
